OK, I'm hoping this is just my imagine and that I'm really to early in life to be going through this already but need some feedback. My Mom swears I'm going through the beginnings of "the change". OMG, I can't be.

How did you all know who have experienced this. I've noticed last few months (to name a few)

....sweating all the time
....hate to be toughed
....claustrophobic
....tags in clothes drive me nuts anymore

Could be --- if your past mid thirties, you may be heading in that direction.

I started going through it when I was 39. Missed a period and thought I was pregnant. I bought a HPT and my husband and I sat and chanted, "Stay clear, stay clear". Yes, it stayed clear. Our son was 18 and we really did not want to start all over again.

As far as symptoms, I think it varies. My periods became fewer and farther apart, until they just stopped 5 years later. I really did not have much trouble. Just bit my husband's head off a couple of times for no reason.

I also remember one Christmas when we were having an ice storm in SE Tennessee and I had hurt my back. I was laid up in a lazy boy chair for a couple of days with a heating pad on my back and having hot flashes. I kept the heat down so low that my poor husband had to wear a very heavy coat in the house so he could stay warm. He never complained. He was such a saint through it all.
