I was chatting with one of my friends from my hometown. She was talking about how her mom was really sick. Her mom is in soo much pain that she just locks herself in her room. And my friend also does the samething. She is a Jr in High School. Her mom use to be a teacher, but now doesn't anymore. her mom doesn't even leave the house. Then I asked her what was wrong with her mother. She first stated it was something with a I....But then i thought could it be ic? Then I told her I had a few disease, in which my little sister doesn't know about. Then she opened up to me. How her mother doesn't care anymore. How she use to try to get inside her and now she does nothing. My friend is soo down. I wish there was something i could do. Then she said she would look up the name for me. She TPYED Interstitial Cystitis. I was soo exicted!! in a way...then I had to tell her i had the samething. Then she said her father was talking about a bladder removel.

It is weird what impack we have when dealing with family. Having such a horrible disease that takes some of our lives away. Any ideas that i can tell my friend? She is very depressed..and needs help. her mom is on antidpressions by the pain meds far pass the antid.

isn't that the truth!! How lucky she was to have YOU that she shared this with!!! See? All of us are suffering for a distinct purpose...sometimes in the middle of it we just can't see it. Hang in there as her friend!

The best thing you can do is to be there for your friend. She must feel very alone.

Kiyoka , I think your friend is blessed to have a friend like you. It is good that she has someone to talk to that understands.

Just support her, maybe tell her about the boards, some support groups?? Tips from the boards? Not good to have ic, but good to be able to have someone that knows exactly what they're going through to talk to :)
