Hi All,
I started chatting with a lady today at Costco about her portable 3-legged camping stool she used to rest in line (she has a disability with her foot) and she started telling me about a public transit discount program for the disabled.
She showed me her bus pass. It gives her the right to ask for a seat if they are all taken, and it gives her a 25% discount on all public transit in the area (SF Bay Area-East Bay- BART train & buses). She said that many counties have this kind of program.
Anyhow, thought this might be an option for those of us who ride public transit and could use the discount. I expect you could use the yellow pages & call the transit office for your area to find out the procedure to get this...
Hope the info is useful to someone:)
