Hi. I am 22 years old and have been having abdominal pain almost everday and in the same spot. I have diarrea off and on and now I blood in my urine. I was to a uro and gastro. I have had a cysto hydraulic dilation and he said everything is fine, but he strecthed my ureatha and bladder. So how can everything be fine? I was also diagnosed with IBS and i also have pain during and after intercourse could this possibly be IC? Just wondering?

Well I would think your diarrhea is a part of the IBS (I have terrible IBS)...as far as the pain during and after intercourse, it could be possible that you have Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. That can cause a lot of ICer's to have pain, I had a very mild case of PFD.

If I were you, I would seek out a 2nd opinion about your symptoms if your urologist is not willing to help much further.

Hi, Kendra and welcome! I agree with Jess that you might want to consider a second opinion. You might bring it up with your current doctors that you think there may be something else going on. THe bottom line is that you know your body better than anyone else. I know there are quite a few conditions, like IBS and pelvic floor dysfunction where symptoms are very similar. Unfortunately for IC there is no one diagnostic test. A lot of it is hit and miss with treatment and also ruling out everything else.
