3 very jealous dogs

The kids and I went today and bought yet another dog bed, a fleece blanket for the kennel, some puppy toys, small raw hides new bowls leashes, collar. The whole sha bang. They other 3 dogs are jealous beyond anything I would have imagined. They were unhapppy when the kennel came yesterday, but today they are laying in the bed small puppy sized with 100++++ pound dogs in it is a sight I'll tellya. They are pawing at the kennel trying to get in it to get all the new stuff. I hope this isn't a sign of what they will be like with the new puppy. I could be in for a long few days together. The new puppy comes home July 30th. It's hard to believe she is already 6 weeks old.

Well, I bet the older dogs will get used to the new stuff... they've got a few weeks to sniff it out and decide it's old hat by then. As for the new puppy, are you able to visit the puppy? They say that if you take a blanket and rub it on the new guy, then bring it back for the other animals to sniff, they get used to the new guy's scent and then the "introductions" later go much smoother. I read this in a pet magazine at one point... dunno if it works, or if it will rile your fuzzies up more, but I thought I'd mention. ;)
