Found a salad dressing I can tolerate, "Marie's Lite Creamy Ranch" (available in produce section refrig at Safeway). I dilute a half teaspoon of it with 1-1/2 tablespoons of nonfat milk. I do also take 2 Prelief, just in case.

Romaine salad (has most nutrients of the lettuces) with red bell pepper, mushrooms, celery, carrots, raw cauliflower, raw broccoli. The more stuff you put on it, the less you miss the dressing. Marie's is good on this.

Spinach salad with mushrooms, red bell pepper & a dressing made of pear juice mixed with olive or canola oil & dried basil is pretty good.

I learned a little trick from Weight Watchers. I dip the fork into the dressing and then fork up the salad. I use very little dressing, but get the taste with a little less irritation.
