Hello everyone.
Seems like since I've been a child, when I wake up in the morning and have to urinate very badly, the pain spreads through my whole midsection. After urinating, though, the pain goes away. I assumed that the problem was that I sleep too soundly to wake up in the middle of the night to urinate.
Lately, though, this pain has gotten worse. When I wake up, I have terrible stomach pain (and all through my midsection) that doesn't go away even after I urinate. When I do urinate there is some relief, because there is A LOT to void after sleeping through the whole night, but the pain I get in the morning that I previously associated with needing to urinate does not go away for up to two hours after waking up. It lingers on and eventually gets less intense as time goes on, and then goes away completely eventually.
Does anyone have this problem or something similar? I am wondering whether it might be associated with my IC. I plan to see a doctor about this soon but wanted to see if anyone could relate with this. Please let me know. Thank you!
