InterStim and Lightning Storms

Has anyone had any reaction to the onset of a storm? I thought that I felt some increased stimulation or some kind of reaction as a storm approached. There was a lot of lightning activity. Sounds kind of strange, but there definitely was a different feeling.

That's very interesting --- I wouldn't have thought of it. We don't have much in the way of electrical storms in Oregon, but when I was growing up in the midwest, I do remember some times when a very close lightening strike would make my hair stand up.

I have never had any problems with lightening at all in over the six years I had the InterStim..
We have had lots of lightening storms lately and I never had any increased in stimulation..

That is really strange .... do you have your magnet on ?
I had my de-magnetized...

I don't even know if i have a magnet! Didn't know there was such a thing. I'll need to ask next week at my appointment.

we all have magnets in us (icers that is lol) After about a year I had mine shut off and went into a cycling. on for 30 sec off for 10 sec. I have never noticesd any difference during a storm....

I to have never noticed problems with mine during a lighting storm. But being that the Interstim is rather new and no long term studies done really on the side effects, it could be possible. I would never say nothing like that could happen, cuz with the problems I had with mine, never say never. I do hope things go well at your appointment. Also for peace of mind, if your doctor says this could not be possible that it is not a side effect, contact medtronics and ask them also. Alot of times they (medtronic) will know of more side effects and problems than the drs do. Take it from me, my dr also told me my problems where normal and I contacted medtronics. Like Cindy mine also cycles. Wishes of nothing but the best for you.....
