hi friends,i'm just back from the dr's with my report.
she said i have a complex cyst.it is not a simple, only fluid filled functional cyst.
she used the word haemorrhagic and said it was filled with fluid, some blood and even some solid.it is 3.9 cm.
she says since cysts are common i should'nt worry about it but she wants me to go back after a month for another ultrasound.
she did'nt prescribe any pills or any other medicines or diet for this.
she says complex cysts are more difficult to resove on their own and so if after a month nothing has changed she will send me to the gynaec and i might have to go for surgery.
i am so scared now.i was really hoping this to be a simple one.
i really do want to avoid this surgery and am also so worried about cancer.
what do u'll think about all this, please advice.

I know it's scary when they can't automatically rule things out. But, your doctor was right, cysts are common and most are nothing to worry about.
I tend to get cysts on my right ovary. My last one was a complex cyst. When the doctor looked at my ovary the next month (the follow up ultrasound) the cyst was gone. It had resolved itself.
The important thing is to just to make sure that you follow up with your doctor.

Sabin,
Do a google search for natural ways to resolve cysts. I heard of people doing warm castor oil packs externally over the cyst, and they report good results. So some research and see what you find.....

Sabin, Good luck to you. I hope your cyst resolves on it's own without you having surgery. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are one on of the lucky ones sometimes hot compresses help. I will be praying it helps you. unfourtnely for me I get recurrent cysts that always have to be removed surgically.
Take Care

Sabin,
As long as there are no possible contraindications to the castor oil treatment (which I don't think there are) then as you said, it is worth trying. Make sure you do it on top of towels so you don't get oil everywhere, and wear old clothes that you wouldn't mind if they got stained with oil. Let me know how this works for you, Ok?

HI there, I have two cysts on my left ovary, and have a follow up with my gyno on Sept 4th. (to see how things stand) She wanted me to journal my pain to see where I stood with diagnoses ....I AM a newly diagnosed IC patient (only diagnosed via visit to regular doctor and then to a urologist, who wants to do a bladder distention on October 3) Have yet to decide if I am doing this or not...
Ok...I also met with a naturalpath and she advised for my cysts to do castor oil packs.....this is my routine....
Take a fleece type material, and pour castor oil on the fleece, then place the soaked pack castor oil fleece and place it over area of cysts, then place a plastic bag over the fleece, along with a hot water bottle, remain with pack on for 30 to 40 minutes.
I am also on a naturalpath's regime for my IC. I have also met with a physiotherapist today who specializes in vaginitis and IC and she has given me a home remedy to do at home to help with IC symptoms....
SO I am hoping to be on the road to recovery.....(ahem....I hope...) I feel confident in my natural way of handling my issues, so far I am seeing some positive changes.
GOod luck, let us know how it goes with your cysts. I do feel the cysts and IC are related, they both react to hormones within the body. I FIND my ic worse midmonth and I do believe that my cysts play a role in this.
Hope all works out for you.
kind regards,

I had a TON of cysts before my hysterectomy. If they cause you pain, be sure to stay on your doctor about them! I would always have HORRIBLE mid-cycle pain and sometimes the cysts would rupture and I would just about pass out from the pain. After going constantly to the OBGYN he did lap surgery and found out most of them were filled with endometriosis- and that one big one had twisted my ovary around my fallopian tubes. (mine were not complex cysts).
Most of the time cysts are no big deal and go away on their on- but they can cause complications, such as ovarian torsion. That's why it's so important not to miss your follow-up appt.

I too have many cysts on my ovarians. I just had vaginal ultrasounds done and they found several complex cysts on my ovaries. My dr said we will watch and see how things go at this point but my endometriosis specialist out of state feels we need to do another lap which I don't think I can deal with right now with everything else going on.

I too get ovarian cysts. They come and go with the cycle. They just monitor them every 6 months or if I am having pain they will do an ultrasound. But most of the time, I don't feel them at all. When I was doing my fertility treatments the goal was to get the follicles as big as they could so they would be nice and ripe and mature. They'd get them as big as 15mm. I could feel them on the outside of my abdomen. I had two on one side and one on the other. It was my breaking point because the fertility drugs totally messed up my IC symptoms. I'm glad that we are not doing that anymore. Just to give you an idea of how big they can get with no harm. I had a cyst burst last year and it was VERY PAINFUL but only lasted for a week. My OBGYN said that it wasn't the actual cyst that caused all of the pain but that it was the fluid and blood that was causing the pain.
But you should discuss your worries and concerns with your Doctor with your specific case.
