Just wanted to let you all know I am ok and have not fallen off the face of the earth. I am still in Florida with my parents. It is nice to have 2 sets of extra hands. I also got to meet someone who I had been communicating with on the boards which was awesome. My parents and family in general continue to act like poopy heads about IC in general. Through in pain management as a topic and.......let's get ready to rumble. My parents are not allowing me to take any sort of pain med :cussing: :headbang: in their house, so if anyone has any hints for stuff that work well please let me know. 2 months till Chris comes home for his R&R! :woohoo:

Hugs,
Barb

Glad to hear you're doing okay!

Wow,...no pain medication allowed in your parent's house! I wish I had some alternatives along those lines to offer you, but my bag of tricks is pretty lean outside of the AZO, baking soda and water torture routine. (I have one of those Uros who refuses to prescribe pain meds, so guess I'm somewhat in the same boat as you are right now) I will watch this thread for any new pain management ideas from others!

Good to hear from you again, and I hope the 2 months 'til Chris comes home passes quickly!

Barb, I am glad you are getting some help. As far as the pain meds go, I don't know if I could go along with that. I would probably get some, hide them and take them when needed or just say tell them you have to take them and they will just have to accept that.

Hang in there Barb, I am glad you checked in.

wow Bab that is not fun at all not be able to take your pain meds I can't live without mine. Uristat works some on me, how about drinking plenty of water,m lidocaine gel if your main symptom is burning. Let me know how you are doing?

Take Care

I guess I'd probably be on my way home by now.

Glad to hear from you. I can't believe your parents won't let you take your meds! That's so wrong! It's not like you're smoking crack in the bathroom! I would have to put my foot down & tell them that your doctor knows more about your pain than they do. Or like Donna said, I'd be outta there. Here's hoping Chris gets to come home earlier than expected.

Wishing you tons of well wishes......I hope it is still better there than at home with the MIL.
Take care of you and L. :grouphug:

What's with the pain med thing? UGH.............can you "hide" it? put it in a tiny lock box or something? Better if they would just understand!

I am excited that Chris is coming home.....XOXOXO Julie
