The sodium bicarb has made the bladder worse and not I'm not getting any help from the heparin/lidocaine that I have been for so many years. :headbang: Guess it is back to starting over with the heparin and go from there. I just hope it does go back to helping.

Hang in there! I guess it's just going to take a little while longer for your bladder to heal. Are you taking anything else besides the heparin?

It's just heparin/lidocaine that I have been doing for 5 years with no problem. I do take the hydroxyzine at night and ibuprofen once in a while but that is about it. The heparin even hurts now to do. I have pain putting the cath in which had gone away. Just two tries of the sodium and it's back to square one. I don't see how it could do that.

I don't know anything about doing instills, but maybe it might help if you don't do them for a couple of days? Maybe you need to rest the bladder and then start cathing again. Is there anything else your doctor can prescribe to help with the discomfort in the meantime?

I thought I had an infection and he tested for that but there wasn't one. I don't do well with pills so I will have to see if the heparin will start helping out again. Will not be doing any instills over the weekend so will see what happens with that. It took 8 months in the beginning before the heparin started to help. Now I wonder if it will take another 8 months or longer for it to do that again?
