pyridium and Amoxicillin

I was in major pain the past few days. I couldn't even get out of bed..but to only go to my class..that begins at 3. I finally went to urgent care last night. I couldn't wear under wear. it burned..but my urine was clear...the dr put me on Amoxicillin 500 mg 3 times a day for ten days, and pyridium twice a day for three days...I was wondering if this was a normal amount of antiboitics?.the doctor was pretty cool did blood work and everything...he said some things that not even my urologist understands..about advil and those things and what they do to people with ic. he was all don't tel any doctor give you advil and or anything like that ...he said society always tries to give us it...he was pretty cool...but the amoxicillin is making my mouth really dry..I drink water the whole night...I wonder if my i'm allgeric to it...it is making me dizzy and major heachach...i dont know?

It wouldn't hurt to give the Dr a call and tell him of your side effects....10 days on 500 mg could also put you in line for a yeast infection, so be on the look out for any of those symptoms. Eat lots of yogurt, if it doesn't bother your IC. It's always nice to find a Dr that at least TRIES to relieve our discomfort, isn't it? The Amoxicillin shouldn't be causing a headache I wouldn't think....call your dr, and keep me posted! (We'll chat later!)

the urgent care doctor gave it too me...who do I call..my urologist is too busy to see old patients..and my kidney dr is only here once a week on tuesday....my primary doctor...doesn't know anything about my bladder problem they are way above her..so she tells me to see my urologist

Hi have you ever had an allergic reaction to the Amox. I was looking up the pryidium and it listed Headaches as a side effect. Try calling either the dr who gave them to you or maybe even the pharmacy. Also K-9 is right about the yeast. That alot of anitbotics so you might end up with a yeast infection. I would call the urgent care dr who prescribed the meds.

I never had amox before....before I could handle pryidium....but I hadn't had it for a while.. I had the heachach last night..and I didn't start taking prdiuim until this morning

what is a toung? Hey Katrina...Hugs...I hope you feel better today hugs. I stopped taking the prydium yesterday after the third time of throwing up...but i'm still taking the antibotics..I still hurt some...I will give it a whole week...thanks I am eating a lot of yogert...

Kiyoka I think she meant tounge. Like in your mouth. My spelling might be off to....Are you better after getting of the pryidum? I hope you will be better soon...

ohhh thanks... patricia today i'm just not myself. I think I had a bump under my tounge the first night I took it...I don't really feel it anymore. I hurt a little down their...but it feels soo much better then throwing up all that pryiduim...thanks Hugs
