My mother has DV and cant seem to find a medication to relieve her syptoms. If anyone is willing to share what has helped them, please do so. I've been searching the web, and finding that info on treatment is limited. Help!

I really don't know what DV is but I do have VV.
I was put on flexerial 5 mgs at bedtime and it has helped tremendously.

Erlinda,
Elavil helps some women with DV.

I have vulvar vestibulitis, which falls into that category. I take 25 mg of Elavil, and 1200 mgs of calcium daily and that has helped me a lot. (I also went on a different regimen with the Pill, but if your mom is post-menopausal, that approach won't necessarily work, although estrogen therapy does work for some women.)
