Has anyone ever gotten a yeast infection after swimming in a pool? We got the kids one of those pools that you blow the ring up and then fill it up with water. Anywho I went swimming a couple of times and now I have an yeast infection like crazy. Thats the only thing I can think of. I have not been on any meds or changed soap or anything. Just wondering if there is a connection.....Oh and great thing now I think I have a sinus infection/bronchitis, head pounding and I feel as though someone is sitting on my chest. My son was sick last week and now I have it. So when I go to dr and get antibotic it will only make it worse....

If you're using chemicals to control bacteria growth in the pool, it shouldn't be a problem. However, if you have yeast cells anyhow and sit around on a warm day in a wet swim suit, it can be a problem.

Makes sense to me....as soon as you get out change your clothes and dry off and clean yourself.
YEAST LIST: Boric Acid, Aci-gel (insert it at night, it maintains the ph of the vagina & yeast can't live when there's an acidic environment - or can use apple cider vinegar in water) and also washing externally with tea-tree oil diluted in water. \acidopholous tablets, a wet towel with s AZO yeast, http://www.ghtbiz.net/rescue/nocandida/lead.html, Any probotics, Flora-Q The Flora-Q is made by Kenwood Therapeutics. It contains Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus paracasel, and Streptococcus thermophilus -- these are all bacteria that normally live inside your digestive tract. What you do is take a capsule a day for a few days during antibiotic treatment and then a couple afterwards, and this replaces your normal flora, making it much less likely to to get yeast infections. http://www.ic-network.com/iclifestyles/july01.html list of ideas (Nystatin, Diflucan by prescription.
I sure hope you feel better soon! :grouphug:

Thanks Donna and Katrina. We do use chemicals in the pool. Kids tell me I use to much Chlo. I buy those that float in pool and punch hole in. But I do remember last week sitting outside with hubby after swimming. But right now in Louisiana its like really really hot outside like in upper 90's. Thats prob.. it sitting around in wet bathing suit. Wont be doing that anymore. Thanks again guys....
