I am still waiting to hear from my gyn about the potassuim senstivity test and the elmiron . I am still not sure if I am going to do the test I am done with all the surgeries and procedures. I have had enough, They said she will call me about 11- 11:30 am so I will let you guys know.

No I had a cysto and a hydrdistention.

When they did the cysto and hydro did they suspect IC at the time? What did they said afterwards?

yes they did suspect ic they said my bladder was inflammed. I heard from dr. I have an appt. with her next friday to discuss other options I can try. Because I am not sure about the potassuim senstivity test. my bladder can only hold 200 cc's.

My gyn called me back again I have to have the potassuim senstivity procedure she said that I had to have it done to get elmiron through my insurance company. She is convinced that elmiron will help me. I am freaking out, I so do not want to do this.

I hate to see you go through something that you may not need. If another doctor said you had IC from the Cysto report would that be enough for your HMO to allow you to take Elmiron.
I never had the test so I am not telling you not to get it. I just think it is crazy what your ins company is telling you to do.
I go home at 4:00 so let's pick this up on Monday.
