Ok so I drank nothing but water today.. I pee'd 2 times in 20 mins. The other night I drank a 12 ounce coke and had no frequency. Does this mean I can tolerate coke? I am so confused. The night I drank coke around 2:00 pm I only got up 2 times to pee. I am so confused. I am keeping a log of EVERYTHING I eat and EVERY TIME I pee. Last night was bad for me couldnt sleep felt like bladder was full all night. HOw long does it take after we eat and drink before it causes us to flare? Thanks

It can take as long as 3 hours to 12 hrs it varies . I would think if the coke did not cause you no pain or increased urination or burning. Coke is fine for you to drink.

Hi there! I'm not sure what type of water you are drinking, but regular tap water and some bottled waters cause me to have bad flares. It's usually better for us to drink bottled water that has no additives or minerals in it. This might be worth looking into.

Hope you feel better soon!

Some foods will affect people right away, some that night before bed, some a day or so later............some by portion size............sighs............it is different for everyone and different per food..................Try keeping a good food diary along side of a voiding and pain diary. It may take some sleuthing to figure out what is happening with you..........XOXOXOXO

I doubt it means you can tollerate Coke...drinks are often very difficult...sodas very bad...caffeine, carbonation, and usually sweetend with acid .....huge flare triggers and as was said it can take a while for something to effect you.

Badically everything that was said here is true. It varies even more with food....That can take 3 days to effect some people. Julie recommending a dairy is the best thing you can do.....I recommend you write down as much as you can your remember from the possible triggers for the past 3 days. Also journal all your symptoms...pain, frequency, burning, retention, fatigue, bowl symptoms, other illness symptoms......somtimes the connection with your flare has little to do with food.

Since there is always an exception to every rule trust your instincts.... always watch out for an infection too!
