How often do you urinate?

In a 24 hour period how often do you urinate? And what foods do you have to avoid?

I urinate around 9 - 10 times a day (even tho I feel like I have to go all the time)

I havent found what bothers me yet.

It can vary a lot for me, but I would have to say at least once every 90 minutes. If I'm in a flare, more often. My primary triggers (there are others) are regular coffee, fruit juices (especially cranberry), garlic, and sodas.

If you drink a cup of coffee..and it bothers you..How long before you can tell? Is it a couple hours? Days? Thanks

I now average about 7-9 times a day, depending on how I'm feeling and what I've been ingesting. Some nights I get up to urinate; others not at all.

Dees I envy all of you, I go not exagerating in a 24 hour period probably close to 50x a day this would include the night. I just feel like I cannot empty my bladder in one time. I guess since I am home most of the time I have the luxury to be able to got to the restroom whenvere I get an urge( evry 5 to 10 miniutes) I do drink alot of water, I cannot elimante my water drinking, its good for me keeps me flushed, and if I dont drink i become dehydrated very easily. Food that trigger are citrus and tomatoes, so I avoid, but the worse I would have to say is something like a mountain dew, real bad!! One the caffience two the carbonation. I am going to have to try the kava Donna reccomended to me, I cannot give up my coffee, maybe that would account for why I always feel like I am in a flare with it. Ovulation seems to worsen any pain asoicaited with it, which usally it not the biggest issue for me, more the pressure, adn more the nocturia of being up half the night. And each I go I am able to void some, sometime more soemtimes less, its just a feeling that it wont all come out at once like it should. I am praying i get some answers and relief real soon :bow: . On average 20-30 x per day (including 2-5 x per night).

During a flare, more than 30 x per day (including 5-15 x per night).

I have become fairly accustomed to the daytime frequency (it's been almost 8 yrs since IC began). The nighttime frequency sucks because of the exhaustion and fatigue.

Two years ago I was going about 16 times a day, but I could sleep through most of the night; up once or twice. Now I go about 9 times a day; usually once at night; sometimes not at all. I have times when my bladder feels full all the time, especially when my period is due. My bladder capacity must be quite large, because I often void large amounts.

I go at least once an hour during the day and 2-6 times at night. On average, it is about 18-22 times in a 24 hour period. Tomatoes, coffee and citrus are my main triggers.

Since the treatments have started working I can usually go one to two hours, and only once or twice at night. So about 10 - 16 times in a 24 hour period, down from about 30 before I started treatment. During a flare, however it is a lot more frequent, especially at night.

Well I have been keeping a diary since I was diagnosed only a month ago(so I can keep track of foods) I go between 20-26 times a day and about 4-6 times a night. I am still working on finding my triggers. My monthly was definately one of them and so was a coconut maccaron(unsure if it was the coconut)

overactive bladder has never been a symptom of ic with me I have an underactive bladder. I am lucky to go 2 x a day. and that is my problem urinary retention that causes my ic.

at least 22 times a day for 32 years is over quarter of a million times since diagnosed.
If each time took only 5 minutes, that's 21,413 hours or almost 2 1/2 years. Wow, I want my life back! (Also sorry I didn't buy Charmin stock.)

I usually urinate between 20-30 times per day and at least every hour at night. If I sleep more than 2 or 3 hours without getting up to go to the bathroom, the pain is so intense that I can hardly stand or walk. It is a miserable existence.

I was just diagnosed June 13 with IC with Ulcers and Endo after having a Laporscopy/Cysto/Hydro. This site and everyone's helpful advice has helped me figure some of my triggers even before I was diagnosed with IC. Triggers for me are coffee which I have switched to the Kava cofee has 90% less acid (found this at Super Walmart). Caffine any carbonatied beverages, OJ, tomatoes, sausage (any type spicy or not). I seem to go to the bathroom once every 45 mins to an hour. I try not to drink anything before I go to bed and I may be able to sleep through the night without getting up to go. Sometimes I may get up 1-2 times during the night.
