I posted this message earlier......sorry if it's a repeat for some of you. However i thought it was worth noting:

I feel my eyes are puffy, I feel tired and sleepy even though i get more than 8hrs of sleep. I feel my chest is congested and feel lathargic during the day...with me wanting to go to sleep thoughout the day.

It is not due to medication nor lack of sleep during the night...anyone have any idea how i can get rid of that feeling? i heard from one member about cystopek....

You may want to be sure it isn't from something BESIDES IC or your meds...like sleep apnea. We all tend to blame everything we feel on our IC but it is possible to be "lucky" enough to have other problems as well. Just a thought! (P.S. With sleep apnea, people think they are sleeping thru the night, but are actually being awakened hundreds of times from the deep sleep they need to say alert while awake...then, whenever you relax, your barin thinks its time to put you to sleep....)

Pain/discomfort are two of the most tiring things there are. Are you on any medications at all?

I do think it's important to discuss this with your doctor --- as K9wife says, unfortunately having IC doesn't make us immune to other problems.

Keanue, i do feel like this often , but it is due to lack of sleep, I am litereally up all night peeing, evn if I stop drinking liquids early, why I am finally getting serious about this problem. I hope you find out what the cause of yours and are able to get some relief, good luck...Sheryl

Sometimes I feel this way, as if fatigue comes instantly and for no reason........I have asked the doctor and he has tested me for numerous things..........you should ask too....................it may just be a part of IC that we don't understand very much.............gentle hugs...................Julie B

While I am not a doctor and cannot diagnose stuff, from your description you also might want to get your thyroid checked. Lethargy and your eyes being swollen remind me of patients with that. Just my two cents based on my experiences...you really to need to see your doc.
