urethra pain

is it normal with ic to have pain in the urthra?
It does not hurt more when i pee, it just aches and burns all the time in the urethra and bladder.

Yes, urethra pain with IC is very common. I experience pain, burning, stinging, tingling, sharp feelings, etc. It often does not hurt during urination, but aches before & after.
If my urethra is really hurting during urination, it usually means dreaded UTI (for me).

Sometimes Pyridium helps.

yes it is perfectly normal with ic to have urethral burning. I suffer from it. Lidocain cream over the counter sometimes help and over the counter pyruduim it is called uristat.
