View Full Version : Immune System Not as Strong as People Without IC?

I recently got "walking pneumonia" and asthma from the allergies. I am thinking that IC does something to the immune system. I got antibiotics that were IC friendly which knocked out the pneumonia. Bit by bit the asthma is getting better. I find an herbal tea called mullien to work as well as the inhalers; problem is it can cause flares sometimes. But when the inhalers doen't seem enough and the tea can calm it down a mild to medium flare is worth it. I've asked friends for prayers, please pray for me that this darn asthma is only seasonal, not all the time. Allergies are at their worst in years in CA where I live.
Hugs to all :bunny:

I agree with you. Have noticed I have more colds during the winter then I did before IC. Even caught the flu 2 years ago. I did buy that germicidal soap that needs no water. Think that helped a little this winter.

I've had asthmatic bronchitis 4 times in the last 5 months from allergies!!!! I've done the antibiotic/predisone/nebulizer & cough meds. I'm now using Flonase nose spray twice a day to see if I can stop the allergies before it gets to the lungs *sigh*

Gosh, I hardly ever catch a cold or flu. I do get a flu shot every year, however.
