View Full Version : Lemon and Water
Can any of you get by with even a slice or a wedge of lemon in water for just a little different taste or does that little bit of citrus mess up your bladder?
Just curious......

For me, it is not worth the risk, but we are all different. I have not noticed a flare that was obviously related to times when a restaurant put lemon/lime in my water, but then again I have 24/7 pain so it is hard to tell.

I haven't tried it yet, but my mom uses citrus peel and leaves it in a pitcher of water in the fridge, so it is lemon flavored but not with the juice...may be an idea-

I'd be afraid to try it.

Just wanted to see how everyone felt about it, I am afraid to do it too, but sometimes I just yearn for some different flavor.

I've tried it and I don't have any problems, now that been said the lemon wedge is pretty small but enough to give some flavour

I usually ask for water at a restaurant. The ones I go to often I know add the lemon to the rim instead of completely immersing it in the water. So although I never add it to the water.......I feel *important* that it's on my glass as decoration. How weird is that.....

I usually avoid the lemon as well. Though I'm with Jaime in that sometimes it's cool to have the wedge on the side of the glass. Actually, sometimes the wedge gives me the lemon aroma which makes me think I'm getting a lemon flavor in my water without really getting the lemon. Smell and taste are very inter-related!

I can have a bit of lemon in my water if I am feeling ok. If not.............back to the basics!
