Do any of your feel your eyes seem heavy and you feel tired and feel like going to sleep throughout the day? I have not heard this as a usual symptom but I do feel like that; any ideas? Or similar symptom exists with any of you?

If you're in pain, that alone can make you tired. Also, many meds used for IC treatment have drowsiness as a side effect too, so yes, feeling tired and slow is common. I'm sorry you're feeling that way. Maybe check with your doctor and ask if changing the doses or the timing of the doses of your meds is possible? That may make a big difference. Good luck!

for me being tired is an everyday thing. I think its a cross between the meds and the fact that I am up going to the toilet about 4-6 times a night. :toilet:

I'm tired all the time because I can't remember the last time I got a full night's sleep. I'm up 2-10 times per night. And often I have difficulty falling back to sleep. And that is with taking sleep meds.
You are not alone. What's worse is when I'm exhausted... my IC pain is worse and my ability to cope is worse. It's a nasty cycle. I think a big part of treating IC is dealing the nightime frequency and subsequent exhaustion. This is one of the main reasons I'm on disability. How are we expected to function with so little sleep?

I use to have that all the time but since taking the cystopek (sp) I only have had it a few times in the last two months. Not sure why it helped with that but I am glad. I am still tired but not falling asleep by 10:00 am

I'm tired a lot, too. I think it may be the meds, but I've also noticed it coinsides a lot with whether I'm flaring or anything. My eyes also tend to feel puffy and stuff when I get hit with a UTI.

i'm always constantly tired, I'm not on any meds and still get up atleast once during the night. My friends often tell me when we're out it looks like I'm going to collapse since I look exaughsted. Definitely the same symptoms happen to me. I have a feeling it's due to the fact of not getting a full undistubed nights sleep.

I am in the same boat as you gals. I rarely get more than 3 hours of sleep without my bladder waking me up. Today I had couple of 1 hour naps and now I don't know if I can fall asleep now that it's bedtime. I never have liked going to bed early anyway.
