Pyridium Plus

Okay I just called my uro's office today and asked them to call in some pyridium plus. After all the pills I've taken for my IC over the past 10 or 11 years, this wasn't one of them. I have heard a friend say they help her, so I thought I'd try it.
It works! They called them in and it feels sooooooo much better, and I can empty almost all the way. (not completely, but hey, improvement is improvement.)
I guess it's the combination of the 3 things in it that do the trick. Anyone else ever try it?

pyridium plus is my magic medicine...ALWAYS have some on hand where ever I go. Glad to hear it helped you too..

what else is in it besides the pyridium?
pyridium alone doesn't help that much and the ittle bit that it does takes hours.

I take Pyridium Plus as well. It contains, besides the orange dye, hyoscyamine (an anti-spasmodic) and butalbarbital (which is a mild pain killer and also an antispasmodic of sorts).

they just put me on Pyridium. I don't think it helped me much. Maybe I should ask for the plus.

Thanks for the pyridium plus info. hysocomoine gives me headaches.....so i am afraid to try it. it seems like it has some of the same stuff that fioricet has in it...which I sometimes take for headaches. maybe the two will wipe each other out.
i'll ask my new uro for a script tomorrow and then deicde.

Glad its helping you! Yep it works for me too, when I have urethral burning that just will not go away (First I try cornsilk tea then baking soda in water GACK LOL). I am thankful my doc prescribed it. I dont take it all the time though. I think pyridium can bother the liver. Sometimes I even take half and that'll do the trick.
