Have you checked with your urologist to see if you have a bladder infection? Sometimes that can cause burning. I have pain, no burning, but I have read on the boards that a half a teaspoon of baking soda with water can help the symptom. Have you tried some pyridium? I am sorry you are feeling so badly. What meds are you on? liz

I understand how you are feeling I have been experiencing urethreal burning for the past 2 wks now . I have tried uristat , lidocaine, and hot baths didn't seem to help that much. liz is right you should contact your doc and see if you have an uti.

Take care

If your mornings are bad it could very well be that part of the cause of your burning is acidic urine. Although pyridium and uristat may help you could also try an antacid...something like Prilosec OTC that lasts long you could take at night and may help your morning. Everyone's advise here was good too so...definatly talk to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon! :grouphug:

I experience urethral burning, last night I wanted some lidocaine or something to make it stop. It hurts to sit down, I wonder if docs can prescribe lidocaine. I just felt like if it were numb maybe the burning would stop. I have severe abdominal pain also. This disease sucks. It's such a lonely disease, and it makes us feel isolated from everyone else. feel free to email me anytime if you want to talk, there are so many things I hold in and don't say to my family and friends b/c this disease is so complicated and they are very understanding, but it would be nice to be able to talk about my fears and feelings with someone going thru the same thing. email any time!

you can get over the counter lidocaine with aloe . Sometimes it helps. I hope you feel better soon.
