Okay folks... I've had just a few reports (3 out of a thousand) from people whose writing on the bracelet faded when exposed to water. We will absolutely REPLACE any bracelets that have faded no charge and send you two in return.

What the manufacturer thinks happened is that a small # of bracelets were placed in their plastic bags before the ink had properly set. Thus, they suggest that you open the bags and let the bracelet sit overnight before you wear it. These are silicone and they should be completely waterproof and, for most of us, they are. I've worn mine the longest of anyone... in water.... and it's fine. So, clearly, it's just one of those things out of our control. :::sigh:::

If yours has faded, just return to me in a regular envelope to:

RE: Bracelets

They company is replacing any fades at no charge for us! They've shipped millions of bracelets and have only had this happen a few times... but it has happened before!

Oh... and someone asked if we could have an imprint bracelet instead where the letters are just punched into the silicone? They are much more expensive... three times the cost wholesale. So, I figured, as a first try, to go with these first.

Jill :)

Hi there. I got my bracelets last weekend and wanted to thank you for all your work to get them for us. My family members (some of them anyway ;) ) have offered to wear them and help spread the word. I think the word is getting out there. Slowly but surely, I hope we can spread the word and make more and more doctors, urologists and the public aware of this disease.

PS
I haven't had any trouble with fading. My 8 year old daughter wears one for me and she's gotten it wet and out in the sun all the time. I hope none of mine do fade, they're very pretty ( I like the color combo).

Again thanks for all your hard work. One thing I would like to suggest is that if we do another round of bracelets, maybe spell out the whole words of I.C. because alot of people I think are scared to ask or think it's initials for a sport or something else. Just a suggestion!

Oh to the one that asked about how to make sure the ink is set. Jill posted on another thread to let them sit for 24 hours after you open them out of the plactic bag. that way the ink will be sure to had sit in. I intend to this because i love it the colors are great there so pretty.
I think the reason just one side of mine faded was because i believe they printed the website frist then after we decide what we wanted on the front of them they went back and printed the IC AWARENESS on it.
Stasny got mine as a get well present.

Just got mine today in the mail. Yeh:):):):):). I ordered 10 of them so if mine fade I will have a back up. I will make sure to have one just in case. I'm a bartender and my hands are always in water. Hopefully we can get the imprint ones. Anyways thanks they are nice, but what I also want to say is when I just got on the computer I checked my mail and then came to this site, Like Always. Well I was able to go right in without logging in. I thought I had already logged in but I didn't because it would not let me log out. Very strange because usually it tells you, you don't have access to this site (or something like that). Little scared about this.

I have already replied in another thread, but yes the IMPRINTED ONES would be great.
People seem to look at them like they are fake, because everone has the imprinted ones. People just stare.
I also would still like to see the pins too. How about anyone else.

I wore my bracelet for the first time today. When I got home from work I noticed my bracelet was really dirty already. I have a job where there is a lot of debris from metal cable and other parts and it is hard to get off of hands, clothes etc. I washed my bracelet with standard soap and water and it cleaned up beautifully.
