View Full Version : Lyrica For Pain Anyone?
Hi, just wondered if anyone has tried this new version of Neurontin for pain and fibro. I have nerve pain too and was considering switching as the eye Dr. just told me neurontin damages your eyes and dries out mucosal tissue in the body.... not good. Sure helps with the pain, though. If anyone has tried this, please reply. Thanks.

:help: Hi
I just started Lyrica 75mg at night and will increase it to twice a day after the feelings of "my head being in a fog" go away. I am praying that this is going to help me with my pain symptoms.I was on neurontin for years and developed terrible side effects from being on it-hair loss, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort......i think it was from long term use....Any one else taking Lyrica?
I would love to talk to someone about this.
And to make things worse, i just found out that my doctor is moving out of state and i will need to find another doctor that can deal with IC/interstim/pain management.
Scared and worried....
TC
Hi,
Thanks for writing. I sure hope it works for you. It's supposed to be better than Neurontin, so here's hoping it has less side effects. It's scary as heck to lose your doctor. Do a lot of phone consultation with prospective doctors before you waste your time going to the office. You may want to check with the ICA on "IC" friendly doctors in your area. Let us know how the Lyrica is working.

Which side effects on Lyrica are different? I've never heard this about neurontin affecting eyes. In what way?

My mother in law was asking me about this drug today. She takes lortabs 10.500 she has taken them for years. she has C.O.P.D of the lungs with very bad ashma.
a new pain dr. gave her this drug and she is scared to take it because she doesn't know this doctor well. All her lortabs has always came from her lung doctor and she is scared to mix them even tho this pain dr. knows she is taking them.
for those of you who are taking this new drug are you mixing it with other pain meds also?
