I was lucky enough to get a chance to read Julie's book Confident Choices! I felt honored and blessed to be asked to help her edit it and found it to have a lot in it about one of the most difficult aspects of IC...diet! She is eager to have people read her book and let her know what they think so that a second edition can come out soon and better! I really loved the info on planning your meals for the week and all of the recipies that were included! Pluss info on dealing with stress, IC friendly drinks!!! :), excesizes, self heps like herbs and vitamins, and resources that I feel are the best! I loved getting to know Julie better by reading her book and loved all the information on living with the IC diet.
GREAT JOB JULIE!!!! :woohoo:
As a member of our ICN family for such a long time I am proud she has a book out and hope we can all help support her in her work.

Julie was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis in 1998, and has been the moderator of the IC and Diet Board of the Interstitial Cystitis Network for five years. Julie provides online emotional support and valid medical information regarding interstitial cystitis, treatments, and coping strategies. She developed Confident Choices to educate both patients and nutrition professionals about the dietary modification process necessary for IC patients to determine their personal food triggers.

Oh my gosh, Katrina, I JUST now saw this! Thank you so much for your kind words. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from everyone (it is always nice to know that you are helping people!)

Katrina doesn't give herself enough credit here. Between her, Kim, Rachel, Jill, Lesa, and many others I really believe the book is MUCH better than it would have been without their help both in content and their editing assisstance. Thank you thank you thank you!

Love....................all of you..........Julie

I keep forgetting to tell you that I got the workbook and it turned out sooo well, Julie. I was so impressed with the whole thing and I know it will help simplify the diet - which can seem so daunting. Job well done! :kissing:
