Sorry about this subject but I have a question... I had an orgasm the other night (its been a while because of my pain)but it sure didnt feel like it used to!:(:(:( It hurt so much building up to it and then it wasnt pleasurable during and afterwards my bladder hurt more than ever! Can Pelvic Floor Dysfunction cause this and now what????

I am guessing that depending where our individual pelvic floor muscles are dysfunctioned down there that it can indeed cause trouble with orgasms. I've had difficulty because I'm so nervous about the pain but everyone is different. I know anxiety can do it too. I am in touch with another woman who has IC though and she is really convinced that she has a hard time due to PFD. There are nerves down there that help us with orgasms and everything is connected down there so it really makes sense to me that can happen. From how much pain you were in from it don't discount that it is anxiety too. I just started seeing a physical therapist and I think that this helps relax the muscles. My husband has been doing this every night. putting finger inside (not too far, probably to knuckle I'm guessing) and putting pressure on each side we do about 2 min each side then down for same amount. It helps stretch things out in there as most of us are pretty tight. I won't put pressure up cause it hurts too much. Bladder is right there! Also he does like a swooping motion back and forth (not all the way around- ouch!). I really swear by this that it has helped me a lot with intercourse! Sorry so graphic! My husband does the same thing! He was taught by the physical therapist, since my insurance benefits for physical therapy are running out.

Since my ic,sex is not the same.My orgasms hurt sometimes,too!It's hard to enjoy sex with the thought of pain in the back of my head.I'm only able to have sex in the spoon position,if I'm lucky,I can do it from behind.Don't mean to sound gross!!
