Hi,
I am recommending a book which I have sitting on my bedside table and have yet to start. It sounds like a wonderful inspirational book and I am really looking forward to reading it. It is called "The Breakdown Lane" by
Jacquelyn Mitchard who also wrote "The Deep End of the Ocean" which was Oprah's first pick for her book club a zillion years ago!!
It is about a relationship coming undone and a wife diagnosed with a serious debilitating disease (not IC but another terrible incapacitating disease).
Even my favourite author, Jodi Picoult ("The Pact", "Plain Truth", "Vanishing Acts" and "My Sister's Keeper" to name a few of her wonderful books) highly recommends it by saying:
"An honest, moving, passionate portrait of what happens when we fall off the track of a comfortable life--and how we might learn to rise again and soar. Reading just doesn't get any better than this."
If anyone else decides to take up my suggestion, please let me know what you think of the book. Once I have read it myself, I will also give my opinion of it, good or otherwise.
Happy Reading!!
