Hello everyone,
This is my first post, so I hope it works. As of the moment I do not have a diagnosis of IC, but after 4-5 years of symptoms (an exacerbating-remitting pattern of serious bladder and pelvic pain with urgency and some frequency) I finally trotted myself to a urologist. Right now I live in Massachusetts, but I'm moving to central OH in July. I am actually pretty dissatisfied with the doc I saw here in MA (I felt that she didn't explain things adequately---like not warning me a catheter would hurt, or what/why she was doing it!!! And although she gave me several pamphlets on IC and told me to research it on the web saying that she, "thinks I have elements of this" she did not prescribe me any of the medications I have learned about on this site and instead suggested a 3-month trial of nitrofuratonin). I am hoping to find a different uro in Ohio. I have seen Dr. James Nelson mentioned on the ICN docfind. Would anyone who has seen him please email me with feedback?
