Hello All,
I haven't been here in a long time to post anything. However, I came across some info on a website at www.newshe.com (http://www.newshe.com) today. They reported a study conducted using nitroglycerin cream to help those with vulvodynia. It also mentioned having some affect on IC. Have any of you heard about this treatment? It does make sense once you read the reasoning behind it. Take a look at the article and let us know what you think.
Thanks

Just be very sure you work with a medical professional if you try this kind of therapy. Nitroglycerin cream is sometimes used for people with angina pain. Nursing staff must be very careful to wear gloves when applying it. When my husband was in the hospital following heart surgery one of the nurses was telling me that she just grabbed the cream and applied it to a patient without wearing gloves --- she said her heart rate was so rapid it was very frightening.
