Hello to all, I was reading FIRST Magazine and I always read the little things, and I found on page 107 in the June 13, 2005 issue, in uuper right corner. It says
Handy Info Then I saw New aid for bladder pain

The article says: Now women can find immediate relief from the bladder inflammation and pelvic pain of interstitial cystitis(IC), according to a study in the journal Urology. The magic pain reliever: lidocaine, an anesthetic that's added to traditional heparin treatment and delivered directly into the bladder via catheter. The procedure eases symptoms within 20 minutes-much faster than the two or three months with heparin alone. Three weekly doses of the combination therapy provides fast and lasting relief....

I was so excited to read this I read it to my boyfriend right away :woohoo: Yes it is getting out there finally :woohoo: Seeing More and More all the time. This is great. :)
Really don't know if this helps but it's just nice to see interstitial cystitis in a Magazine I read.

The more articles the better to get the word out there about this awful disease. Afer more han six months I did an instilation of lidoaine and elmiron. I was out of heparin. I was in so dire needs of relief I would of tried anything. I think it help a little.

Where I live there a local radio station that talks about IC every morning and people can call in and tell thier stories and tips. The section of the program last about 15 minutes, but it is great. I think lidocane is great.
