Hi everyone,

Has anyone had a colposcopy to help diagnose or rule out their vulvodynia? Was it painful?

Thanks,
Colleen

Hi Colleen,

I had a colposcopy performed about 15 years ago.
It was not that bad at all. I also had biopsies performed at the same time. That was slightly uncomfortable but again not a real big deal....

Do you need to have one done? If so, don't sweat it. It sounds more uncomfortable than what it really is... Good Luck!!!

Hi Jersey,

Thanks for telling me the colposcopy wasn't painful. That's always a good thing to hear....that something's not painful! :)

I do have to have the colposcopy. I have vaginal burning that the uro thinks is coming from my bladder, but I guess she just wants to take a better look with the colposcopy to make sure.

Thanks again,
Colleen
