I am trying to become pregnant but how do you deal with sex when you are in a flare. They say relax when you want to become pregnant so it will happen but i am so stressed when i don't feel good i can't help myself i just want to become pregnant immediately and get it over with so i don't have to worry that i won't feel good enough to have sex. Any advice please

Have you ever gone to physical therapy for PFD? I have gone for 3 months and now my insurance benefits for the service are ending, so my physical therapist has taught my husband how to do the intra-vaginal releases on me. The other day after he did them we ended up having sex and I felt alot more relaxed about it than normal. I also always take a hot bath afterwards, but of course if you want to get pregnant you wouldnt because you would fry the sperm....hmmm...maybe ice packs?

When hubby and I were trying to conceive I first made sure I was ovulating by doing the temp thing. Sex is painful for me and didn't want to be having it more then what was needed. When I knew I was ovulating he wouldn't "enter" me until he needed to make the "deposit". Afterwards I would lay still and pray that something took and have an ice pack on. Good luck with everything.

I totally agree with "work it," we did the same thing. First, I made sure I was ovulating. Then, we would use some other form of stimulation until he was ready to go :) and so he would only enter me for approx 30 secs at most, LOL... not how most couples would want to do it but us ICers have to make some sacrifices! I would lay and try to relax for about 15mins with a pillow under my hips (that was a technique suggested on this site for "maximum results" and it sure did work!) after which I would pee and take an antibiotic to lessen the fears about infection. You can ask your doc for these.

If you are really tense pre sex maybe suggest a massage with some nice oils?? This should get both of you in the mood. :)
