I see Krstine E. Whitmore, MD when I need medical procedures done.
I see Amy Rejba,MSN,CRNP once or twice a month when problems occur and she sent me to Penn Therapy.
They work at the same office at Graduate Hospital on the 9th floor.

HI all
I went to see Dr. Whitmore and she gave me the pamplet for body builders..I have it at home I can post it tommoro. I havn't gone there yet my Ins only pay's 40%. so I am not sure what to do..my mucles are really tight in the vaginal bladder area. :bonk:
I just went to her last month..I cannot go back there she does not take my Ins. although I contacted her office and asked if they took BlueCross/BlueShield and they said yes. shesh I even faxed a copy of my ID card. :cussing:
I found another IC DR at Temple Hospital his name is Dr. Pontari as a matter of fact he was part of one of the transcripts with Jill a while ago.
Good Luck to all

I never had pelvic floor disfunction, but last year I ordered a kegalmaster from a site called mykm.com it is exercise apparatus that helps tighten the pelvic floor muscles, you do them 10 minutes every other day, it works great, in the privacy of your home, and it is relatively inexpensive. Compared to going to a therapist, some people like going out to appts, I hate it. I even hate shopping so I am not your average woman I guess. Good luck to you all.

I was told that the muscles surrounding my urethra were too tight to start a full stream, I even had a doctor tell me once, and he is lucky he didn't get smacked in the kisser, that I had "bashful kidneys". I use the kegalmaster because I enjoy lovemaking with my S/O, and it has enhanced our sex life. I don't have the vulvodynia that many of you poor gals do. I am so sorry you suffer. Life wasn't supposed to be this hard was it?

My problem is my pelvic floor muscle is too tight. I guess that wouldn't work for me.

I have seen Amy Altman at Body Rebuilders (also referred there by Dr. Whitmore and Amy Rejba). Amy (Altman) is terrific - I highly recommend her. There are a number of PTs there who specialize in PFD, and I saw another one briefly at first (Maureen) but then she went out on maternity leave, but she seemed great as well.

Jackie Hajinian was my PT her office number is 856-424-0993. She used to be with Body rebuilders and now has her own practice. She is great! Got my PFD under control! I loved her. She living in PA so maybe she could arrange a meeting place. I too go to Graduate and see Susan. I love that practice. Hey, did you guys know Amy is a yoga teacher at Wake Up Yoga in the art museam area. Maybe we can get her to do a yoga workshop for individuals with PFD. I have an appointment on Thurday next wekk I will mention it if we are interested. I know that yoga is what keeps my PFD stable once the PT was over.

I live in Sicklerville, NJ and need a therapist for PFD. I saw the 856 number, where is she located? Does Aetna cover this??
Does anyone in this area know of a close support group? I found one in Warminster Hospital, but was hoping to find or start one closer to my area.
Thanks,
KK

I see dr whitmore as well and see amy....in between. both referred me to body builders but the ride was too far. dr whitmore found me someone on the NJ shore....which also turned out to be a ride but not as bad as driving to philly.
You are in the right hands with dr whitmore and amy. they know a lot and can always point you in the righ direction.
I recently started with a local uroloigst so as not to make the ride tho philly (one and a half hours) and both were ok with that. they said they would even talk with my new local uro and just go in to see her once a year (or more frequently if needed). Dr W's office also taught me how to self cath so that I could do instillations at home and become more independent. they are all for helping IC pts!
