I am so furious. I've thought I had a UTI for years. I just asked my ON/GYN's nurse to pull all my cultures for the past 5 visits and they were all neagative for infection. The nerve of the dr.'s office not telling me when I've been slugging down enough antibitics to kill evey germ from here to London. How does this happen? Where do I go from here? I need some help.

They have been telling you and treating you for infections when they actually were not infections? Am I reading it right? It's terrible.

Yes! that's right. I'm am so scared. It usually only happens about 2 times a year but this one has lasted about 4 months. I just called my OB/GYN and he won't call me in vicoden. I am so upset about this. Has anyone ever sued a dr for this misdiagnosis??? I have an appt with my old uro on Monday. Should I expect to feel this way for the rest of my life? Sorry to sound so frantic but I'm just scared.

you should look over the patient handbook listed here on the ICN its at www.ic-network.com/handbook. You really need to go threw other test first to make sure everything else is okay before being dx with IC but in the pat. handbook there is an IC diet so if you do have IC it should help with those flares you are having its at www.ic-network.com/handbook also there you will find treatments op. for IC. and a lot of other useful information about this disease. I feel its better to know what to expect. I sure which i had heard of IC and had been able to read these things before I was dx. i was so alone and scared.
sending you hugs and prayers
