Those could be serious medical signs....you'd better be contacting a medical professional ASAP! May be nothing, but may be SOMEthing! Go see the Dr or ER as soon as you can....those symptoms are nothing to fool with!

i have to agree you need to talk with your m.d about this a.s.a.p they may be something serious going on that needs to be checked out. where they can work on getting it fixed!!
that just doesn't sound right to me.

I agree with the others!
What I have experienced is migrains with flares back when I still had my periods. I haven't had a lot of migrains in my life...but when IC was really bad I would have them every month.

I strongly believe you should see a doctor! You could be having a type of seizure or something...I have had increased IC symptoms during a seizure before and also headaches and slurred speach with a seizure. I don't know what is going on with you but do not put off going to the doctor incase you have something even more serious than that going on. :grouphug:

Slurred speech combined with a headache could be serious. Please go to ER and be checked out.

yeah those are and could be serious they are also symtoms of ms which is a typical sister of ic so get to your doc right away and get looked at on this

When I have the headache and the slurred speech it only last for about 15 min or so. It's a mystery to me but I will be sure to talk to my doctors about it.

I sure hope it isn't something serious!!!! I recently had another seizure in which my IC got worse for that moment....I don't know why that is. I don't want to scare you....I hope you are ok.

That's it!!! Everytime I have one of these little episodes, they only last for about 15 min. or so. But THEN......after this passes, I have a really and I so mean REALLY bad flare up for days.

It still makes me go hmmmm?!?

Hey everyone. Hope today is a good day for each of you and that your bladder is behaving! :)

I went to the neurologist yesterday and underwent several tests and still have one more to go. I go on Thursday afternoon to the hospital for an "EEG" (electroencethalogram). It's where they put these things on my head and monitor my brain waves for about 45 min. This determines if I'm having seizures or if it's just migraines. He believes it is migraines that bring on a flare up.

He started me on Topamax 1 every night for the 1st week then 2 every night after that. It's a preventive med for headaches. Then if I start that speech slurring/headache "thing", I'm to take 2 Relpax every 2 hours as need for headache. We will not know if it is seizures or migraines until after Thursday afternoon.

I feel somewhat relieved. I think! :bonk:
It's still a mystery to me but hopefully; we're working on finding out what is causing this.
