another question

I’m curious to see what kind of pain people are taking narcotics for. I have both vicodine, flexoral(muscle relaxer), and ultram for IBS but I’m wondering what kind of pain IC’ers use them for. (not to mention oxy’s and perc.)

Right, but I mean what kind of pain? Does your bladder hurt? Do you have cramps? See, I have burning pain constantly and stabbing pain when I urinate. What I'm wondering is what other pain IC has?

bladder flare, cramps due to my peroid that acts up my i.c uti which really makes the bladder flare, stapping cutting like feeling in the bladder, bladder burning.
if you are burning and having stabbing pains you really should call your doctor you may have a simple uti that can be taking care of with some anti. and of course some pain medicine. for a few days until your systom improve.
hope you feel better soon those nsty burning pain,stabbing pains when you pee hurts like a devil.

Well for me it depends on which pain med for which symptom. My anticonvulsant Neurontin I would take for any of my symptoms. My Codein only for bladder pain. For Burning, urethra pain, or frequency I can use my Peridium Pluss (which is actually 3 drugs). http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/oral.html

Everything I take is all for the bladder pain. Its huge, I take daily narcotics (oxyctonine and dulaudid). I can tolerate the other IC symptoms as they are very small. My main problem is the intense pain.
