Weird? Does this happen to anyone else?

This morning, I woke up and took my Elmiron. An hour and 30 min. later, I took 3 prelief. I ate a blueberry muffin about 5 min. later. ( I would have eaten it sooner, but I was side-tracked.) A little while after eating the muffin, I did not feel well. I felt very sick and vomited 4 times. Now, I feel kind of out of my head. What is going on? Any ideas? Does it have to do with the meds? Please help me!

I know the elmiron can upset your stomach...but to vomit? Do you think you have that flu that's going around? I think you should call your doctor and try to get in there as soon as possible.

I don't think it's the flu.... I feel fine.
Let's hope it was just a fluke and not a recurring theme!
If it happens again, I will contact my Dr. and my uro.

I know when I was on elmiron I had to have some type of food in my stomach otherwise I would be really sick. I know with some other meds I was on when I didn't take it with food or milk I would end up vomitting because of it. It could just be a coincidense though with what happened to you. Hopefully you'll find out :)

On my bottle of Elmiron, it says "Take medication on an empty stomach-1 hour before or 2-3 hours after a meal."

Does eating affect the medicine?

That is the way elimron done me I got to the point i couldn't keep anything down if i took it with food or without. i even tried to take it out of the cap put the power in water and drink it still it made me sick.
sometimes no matter how hard we try a drug just doesn't work for us. saddy but there is other things then elimron like the heparin installments or even elimron installments just a thought if you find down the line you still get sick off taking it.

I just took it an hour ago again. I guess if I get sick this afternoon, I will call my uro. I took a pregnancy test; came back negative. I will keep you posted. Thanks for letting me know that it made you sick also Dixie!
