Pressure, help

I am feeling an intense pressure on my bladder. Like it will explode if touched. I can not even wear jeans. Has anyone ever felt this? If so what did I do? Please help

I'm feeling it right now. I know your pain... When I am flaring and must go out in public (and not wear yoga pants) then I put on a long skirt that is VERY loose on my belly. That is what I have on right now and it is the most comfortable, next to be curled up in my bed in yoga pants. I'm sorry that you are in pain. Feel better soon!

I have on my "big girl" jeans today. Normally they are for fat days, but this also qualifies. I just wish there was way to fix this discomfort.

Yes, elastic waist pants or skirts are best when you feel like this. Other than that, so far, I have not found anything to reduce the pressure in my belly during flares, other than making sure I drink enough water to keep the bloating flushed out. Sorry... maybe someone else will have a good suggestion, and in the meantime, I hope you feel better :grouphug:

Lots of water and prosed (which is kind of a new med like pyridium, but you can take it more often)

I have never heard of Prosed? When did you get it? What does it do?

Hi Asmashly, Yes !!!!! It is one of my main ic complaints. For me, when I have the pressure feeling at its worst along with it is the intense feeling to void and I only get relief when I do pee. I have found that it is at its worst when I have alot of inflamation going on(bladder and vaginal). For me getting off my feet and drinking water...taking my atarax and getting rest helps...also no sex for a few days till the pressure feeling gets better. I know with ic its not ever gone..but it does get better for me when I take care of myself.
I have found that having my recent 1st hydro has helped that feeling alot.
Have you had a hydro? Are you taking any other ic meds?
I just wanted you to know that I KNOW how you feel and I am wishing and hoping for you...relief and I hope you feel better!

That was one of my main complaints with I.C.....pressure like my bladder is so full it's going to pop....I get relief for a short time after I pee, but not for long.....I use to pee about 40 times in 24 hours..I am doing allot better now, thank goodness...

It is a horrible bloating feeling, I feel like a weigh a ton!

I have not tried Hydro, nor do I know what it is??

I am on currently taking Elimorin, Oxyburion (sp) and Macrobid (sp) at night. I have had IC for 6 years, disg. for 4 years.
