Good Afternoon to All, I'm going crazy with trying to find a good software to downlaod for free for hacker protection and all that good stuff. Did try a few that were written to be but after I wait for it to download at the end it tells me no server provided for this site. Lava soft it was. I don't want to be on the computer with no protection. I have my regular Norton on my computer but now a days you need a whole lot more than that. I downloaded Prevx Home. Free Trial. Dont know if it is working write though :loco: . Any Suggestions on good software to download. Has anyone heard of pc world. I don't know I need :help: going :bonk: CRAZY.

If you have Norton antivirus, you should not download another antivirus program. When we bought our computer, it came with a different antivirus; when that one expired and we went to Norton, my daughter took the freebee off because she said if you have two, they can conflict and miss viruses. You might, however, want to download some spyware.

I have norton system works and its about the best from what I understand, it catches everything.. If you want to get a new anti-virus you need to go to add and remove programs and remvoe all the prior anti-virus out.. then got into search type in the old name and make sure it is gone.. Mc Affee is a good one to intangle deep into your pc.. If you use 2 at the same time it can crash your pc and you will have system restore, or worse, reformat.

you can download adaware by lava soft in cnet.com.
Also you can down load zonealarm.. there is a free version for both.
I run both with norton.
