I took my 3 year old Golen to the vet yesterday for this incredible itching, she has scratched or licked her fur off her buut, tail, feet inside of her legs. After running allergy test for food ($100) and got her shots for the year and had to put her on a special hypoallerginic food 8 lbs for $20 (she eats close to 50lbs a month) you do the math it gives me a headache to think about it. some meds, I left there with 191.36 bill. Shre can have nothing with meat, chicken, lamb, venison etc. No more milk bones I had to buy special treats made from peanutbutter only which she hates all this new food so far. I just want to cry with her right now, she is treating me like the evil witch dog hater. i am the one that always sneaks her food and she looked at me like I was retarded when I gave her a carrot tonite. Sure hope she begins to like her new diet soon, her little sad face is killing me.

the vet didn't have you gradually change over her food by mixing it?
suprised she didn't react with diarrhea...
i guess because it was an allergy situation...
