I have had IC flares before this and don't remember having this problem. I am wondering if anyone experiences urine leakage? I think that's what it is. I don't know if it's that or if it's just that I have been going to the bathroom so much that there is excess urine that leaks out no matter how much I wipe. It's really embarrassing cause it smells. I don't know what to do. I am a very clean person! Would it help if I tried to put baking soda or something down there? I don't know if others notice it but I certainly do and that is just so gross to me. Please someone let me know if they have any ideas how to get rid of the smell and if they get this. Ann

I think it would be a good idea to discuss this problem with your uro. It could be caused by bladder spasms and there are medications that will help with that.

During really bad flares I too have this problem. I have it pretty much figured out when this is going to happen so I will wear a light panty liner.
Yes it is embarassing,

I have a leakage problem and I wear pads. I am a 38 year old male. My wife and I get a kick out of it, even if it really isn't funny to some. She always tells me when I get agitated "don't get your pad in a wad".
But on a serious note, I am a clean freak myself and the pads help a great deal. They absorb the urine and they are scented to mask the odor. Have a great day.

Ann, I have the same problem. I think it would be a good idea to talk to your urologist. Sometimes I also get a vaginal discharge....is it jelly like, and or has a smell or what does it smell like?? man those are some weird questions to ask, your welcome to PM me if you would like.

I have leakage, I wear pads (the big ones). I am on ditropan XL 20 mg, and alot of other meds. The ditropan helps alot but my leakage is severe, @ times.

i wear pads most of the time.. either that or pantyliners that are the long kind. It helps. I know how you feel. dont worry .. you're not alone in this. you should talk to your doctor about it though and see if theres any medicine that he can put you on. : ) good luck.

I don't have a lot of leakage but it is so annoying when I pee, go to bed and as soon as I lie down that little drop of urine will come out and I will have to get up and wipe myself. One time I got off the toilet and started walking into the other room, had my nightgown on and a drop went into my slipper, sheesh! Once I read something about how to catch this before it starts. Any ideas?

I have quite a bit of leakage due to my cystocele.

Hi,
Every once in awhile I dribble. I do know that if I clip my pubic hair some it helps the freshness factor-

I don't leak large amounts but I often dribble after I pee. I usually wear panty liners or oise pads and during really bad flares I somtimes leak enough to wear depend underwear.

I Have The Same Problem. It Never Stops. I Wear Pads Everyday All Day. I Talked To My Dr. But He Don't Seem Concerned. Even The Meds Don't Help It. It Bothers Me Because I'm Always Scared Of People Smelling The Urine.

:grouphug: I have the same problem. I also use the bladder pads and I carry those little wipes in my purse to freshen up when I leak. I have been of several different meds for leakage but they all make me swell so I deal with the best I can. I'm always worried someone can tell too. I don't think anyone has noticed yet. I started exersising to lose weight and that seems to be helping the leakage.(Except when I flare and have spasms-then nothing stops it)

I wear pads all the time. I also use wipes to feel fresher. I keep trying to find something that will help it. if anyone has any suggestions I am completely open to them
