:headbang: :headbang: hi i was on Ditropan XL for almost 3 months my heart beat was fast sometimes and then my chest starting 2 hurt realy bad a few days ago my dox told me over the phone thats not normal well the chest pains and i have stopped this med not going back till may 9th now.. does this mean my body can't handle bladder meds? very sad and depressed now everything is back 2 normal with the feeling and peeing a lot very sad... any info would help thanx

I'm so sorry that you're sad. Cheer up, just because one med doesn't work it doesn't mean that others won't. We all try lots of different things till we find the one that's right for "US". Everyone is so different that different things work for different people. Don't get discouraged, just keep trying. I also, suggest that you do the IC diet & see if that helps the frequency. I know most of us agree that it is our best help. You'll find it in our Patient's Handbook on this site under diet. Hugs, Kathi

To answer your question --- no, it does not mean you can't tolerate bladder meds --- it just means that there is one med you can't tolerate. Hang in there. It may take a while to find exactly which ones work best for you.
