So I am confused and apologize in advance if what I write is confusing. I posted recently about being diagnosed with endo and my gyno "not believing" in IC. Well, today I went to my pelvic floor nurse practioner. She asked what my gyno told me at my post-op visit...I told her (stage 2 endo, etc.). She asked if he said anything about the pathology report. (he didn't) She said it came back neg. for endo. and couldn't believe he hadn't a:told me or b:looked further into it. I saw the pics of what he "zapped" off...my question is, if it's not endo, then what is it? She told me she couldn't discuss it with me (due to the fact that she's an NP) and to make an appt. with a new gyno. Mon. I am seeing a new urologist that specializes in IC so hopefully he will be able to give some light on this too, until I can get into a new gyno. She gave me a name of a gyno who is familiar with IC. On a side note, I also enrolled in a research program today while I was there. It is to do with stretching pelvic muscles to ease pain caused by IC...should be interesting. I have to keep many diaries and in 2 weeks learn to do the stretches. I guess I'll have to do it 4X/day. I'm willing to try anything to help this pain go away. It's so great to know there actually are doctors and people in the medical profession who actually get it and care. Anyways, if you have any ideas what the "endo" could be please let me know. Thank you.

I have to say first it is possible to have endo and not be able to it see it during a laproscopy. Don't know what that doctor is doing though saying you have stage 2 endo if that is the case. What are your symptoms?

I found physical therapy with stretches and such very helpful for IC...so good luck I hope it helps you a lot!! I would hate having a doctor not believe in IC...so good luck finding one that is good for you.

Katrina, I have all the symptoms of endo...and actually saw it on the pics my gyno showed me...so I'm wondering if that wasn't endo I saw then what was it? I know it wasn't "normal" b/c I was showed what "normal" and "abnormal" looks like. Thanks:)
