Okay folks! The bracelets are now ordered... I've put down a $600 payment. I should find out tomorrow how soon we'll get them. Since it's a white bracelet, we may be able to get them superfast! Yahoo! I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, I hope you buy them!! I think we'll sell them for $3.00 each. How does that sound??

I can't wait.... let me know when they go on sale, and I will be buying about 5-10 to give to family members. I'm certain my own parents won't wear them (*grumble*) but my in-laws want them, and my husband and I will want one.

In addition, I'm starting a new job in Winston-Salem, NC in a fabulous new laboratory at Wake Forest University (in July) :) :) :), and I'm going to have the coolest boss ever -- he will wear one as well, as will some of my future colleagues.

Jill --- ordered 5 bracelets from the shop today, one for me, one for hubby, one for my mother in law, and one for my "step-mother in law" -- the fifth? I think the next time we show our Maine Coon cat Paddington, I will put one on his huge tail (his tail is like 5 inches around) ;) Although, the Padster may not like it, so the other plan is to give it to my new boss when I start my new job on July 1. He already wears a breast cancer one as his wife died in January from that disease... but because of ME, he is very interested in IC -- did all kinds of research on it before I went for my interview and was extremely understanding.

ANYHOO... I may be ordering even more soon depending on who else would like to wear one. These are going to be a great seller :)

you can order yours in the ICN shop I got mine today there white with teal blue writeing on them on one side it has IC AWARENESS and the other side has the url for this site. there very cute. i will have to order my daughter one since she is having a fit for mine. even my son wants one. these bracelets are becomeing a fade at the school but its better then those bracelets they where trying to ware. called sex bracelet funny thing is i wore them when i was younger and they was called jelly bracelet then boy what names these kids can make these out to be.
i also notice while i was in the hosp. many RN had all diff. types of about the same type of bracelets on. so i guess we can call our self hip mom's lol

Thank you soooo much for replying to me. I did order two bracelets for myself and my husband. I am hoping that when my family sees them the will want them too.. How many people do have in your family and how many know what is up with your medical hurts? I have been pretty sick for about 11 years. I was diagnosed about 11 years ago with Endometriosis and have had 5 total surgeries because of it. The second to the last was a hysterectomy. Then 1 year later I had to have the hernias repaired. I also have Fibromyalgia inwhich I was diagonsed with in 1998. I have learned over the years that they seen to go hand in hand. At the end of last year I started to see a new OBGN and he seemed to thing that I had something wrong with my bladder. I fit the questionarie.... 7 months later,,,,, I have been through all of the horrible tests and have been diagosed with IC. I think this is more painfull than Endo.... Does anyone out there feel that same..

Also, does anyone know of any support group in South OC for me....I need someone to talk to...Anyone...

Um...I've been bad and have been off the message boards for awhile....(you know, kinda flaky, another topic...) is this one of those bracelets everyone is wearing for different causes....they are cool....But if they are what I'm thinking, are they Latex? I'm allergic...My oldest daughter would wear one (she's doing her health project on I.C. this year....kids are used to lung cancer, diabetes, C.P....there's my 15 year old talking about the pretty colors in my med box)...Anyway...if anyone knows...let me know....

I plan on telling what our disease is and what my symptoms are, how it affects my everyday life and many others who are much worse off than I am. I was initally ashamed that I had IC but once I learned to accept it, I tell everyone what I have...people usually ask WHY I'm not drinking alcohol, eat fruits, veggies, etc...that is when I bring my IC & IBS-C into the conversation!!! The more awareness the better as far as I'm concerned!!

Um...that's not the problem...I really have no problem with that. I tell people about the Urinary system until their eyes glaze over....I just want to know what those bracelets are made of....I am allergic to Latex...In fact, had a horrible experience this morning and didn't have my epi pen. (I was crashed on a couch at a relative's house..they were setting up for a 30th birthday....I had taken valium and percocet for a nasty spasm after a long drive) I guess I started coughing and wheezing in my sleep. My older daughter woke me up and I saw I was surrounded by balloons. She had been trying to get them to stop blow up near me. Anyway...she drug me outside....I wheezed in confusion until someone found benadryl...(goes great with all those other nifty drugs I'm on)

so..back to my original question...are the things made with latex? It will determine how many I order....Thanks!!!!

I can't ware no type of latex and i have one and so far so good. i have not had no reations i didn't even think to ask that question but i don't believe there made with latex or i would had broken out in a bad itchy rash with all type of little bumbs on my arm.
however just a warning i was wareing mine doing my household chorses sp? and you shouldn't ware them in the shower or bath or while you are washing dishes my blue writeing is starting to fade some. :( so ya'll be careful. looks like i'm going to have to order another one. and just not ware it when i'm doing things like that. there very cute. don't get me wrong i love it. just wish i had thought about it fadeing.

I ordered 2...but I should have ordered more (stupid me!)..I gave one to my husband to wear..he was so excited and happy to have it..he only wore it one day and the writing all faded/washed off it already...so we are disappointed...he barely got it just a bit wet he said, he didn't shower with it on, he had some water splash on his arm doing some chores....now I have to order another one for him..but I would say everyone should be careful because they do fade if wet, at least in my case and I think Dixie had the same thing happen to her?? is that right Dixie? I thought I read a post from you about them fading...if I am incorrect please let me know...

I am sorry to hear that your husbands bracelet faded. I ordered two as well. One for me and one for my husband. I have to remind him to wear his. He doesn't like to wear jewlery...

I have found that my bracelet does not fade at all. I even take baths and shower with mine on. I am wondering if they are made by different manufactors or something.

I still have not had anyone ask what the bracelet stands for. Have you or anyone else out there in IC land?
