Hi Sheri, I just found out that I have it too. I'm still waiting to see what meds my doctor is going to use. So hoe long hve you had it?

I just found out last Tues. when I had the outpatient surgery test hyperdistentionor whatever you call it
I still have to have the Laparoscopy done to rule out Endo. I also have killer bowel problems!

Chat will be open tomorrow night they should be many of us there for you chat with please come on in. we there to help. we can't give medical advice only your doctor can do that but we can tell you what we have done to help our systoms for you newbies please chcek out www.ic-network.com/handbook there is a lot of great information there about treatments and the ic. diet is there you can get started on if you haven't already that can help a lot of systoms some other things you can try for pain is a heating pad or ice pack apply to the bladder area. if you don't have high blood pressuse you can try a 8 oz glass of water to one tsp of baking soda if your flareing that sometimes helps too. or go out and get you some prelief to take with your food. also people *icer* have reported that tums also help from time to time. if your in major pain you should call your doctor and see if they can call you in some pain medicine if you don't already have some or you can go to the e.r if you just been dx with i.c and have had these test its possiable you may have a u.t.i which can easly be treated with some anti. which will stop these nasty flares from the u.t.i pain.
