Hi all,

Wasn't quite sure where to put this question... I had some routine blood tests last week to check my kidney function etc, and the only abnormal thing that came up was a low positive reading for these antibodies. they first came up in my blood about 2 years ago, (at the onset of IC.) My dr says that they usually occur with an infection, inflammatory illness or autoimmune condition in the body. As I have IC he said that it wasn't unusual to have these antibodies so he didn't think any further investigation was neccessary.

The reading I have done on these antibodies really freaked me out- the list of related problems included thrombosis, cardiovasuclar problems, infertility, high incidence of miscarriage, etc. At high levels they are consistent with Lupus and other autoimmune diseases.

The miscarriage especially freaked me out- I would love another baby but don't think I could cope with a high probability of miscarriage.

Anybody else have these antibodies or know much about them?? :loco:

I have them and was diagnosed after two first trimester miscarriages and a blood clot in my leg. I was able to successfully carry a pregnancy after injecting my self with Heparin twice a day for the duration of the pregnancy.

PS Forgot to mention a stroke after my hysterectomy, and found out I had a second clotting disorder called Factor V Leiden mutation.
