Well it has been six years today with the InterStim Implant... :woohoo: :woohoo:
It is just so hard to believe that is went that fast....
I wish every one the success I had with my InterStim....
Also to others I wish you will find that right treatment or meds to help you as well...
The next thing we are watching now is the battery and I will let everyone know all about that when the time comes...
Hugs To All My Bionic Sisters;

It is really good to hear such a long success story, it really is helpful with all of the concerns to hear that there are great stories of success and so many here considering it. For all of you, I wish you continued success, as I know how vital this is to your progress. Six years! Wow, congratualations...that is a great success! :)

Debbie I am soooo happy for you and for your great success with your interstim. Such a postive story from someone who has theirs for many years is a wonderful feeling. I hope your success continues. Is your battery life now getting low? But anyways again I am so happy for you and I know you are totally thrilled with your success. It gives us all hope for the future :grouphug:

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your wonderful wishes , yes it has been a great success for me and getting better every year I must say..
patricia1 as to the battery life span it is between 8 to 10 years but my is on all the time so it will start to run low some time starting in the sixth year but when I had it check on Monday it was still full charge.....
Leslie yes I don't think it will be a cheap battery at all but hey if I needed every month I sure would do it for sure..
Bestie , I do know a lady that has had her since 1984 and still is doing just wonderful with it ...now I would say that is even more of a wonderful success story.....
Hugs, Debbie

This will probably seem a bit nieve, but I'm new to all of this. Does the interstim help with the pain too? I mean, my pain is so bad, that the frequency is not my main concern.
Thanks,
April

Hi April,
It is not a silly question at all...
I was told right up front before I did this procedure it is NOT for pain...
I was help with the pain with it but others do not get any help with it at all and still take meds..
We are all so different in this procedure as it help one in other areas then others..
It is more for your frequency and urgency April...Not Pain..
Debbie
