hot tubs

Not sure where to post this.
I am going to a cabin this weekend that has an hot tub? I am kind of scared to try it. Anyone ever have any problems from hot tubs?

Let me try this again, the website went haywire with my last post. You aren't headed to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge are you? We have a time share there. All in all since the IC I haven't had any issues with hot tubs, pools, and Jacuzzi's that are properly cared for. What ever you decide, have a wonderful time.

We have a hot tub at the house, and as long as we maintain it correctly I have never had a problem with it. I say go ahead and enjoy!!! :)

Yes we are going to pigeon forge. It's only two hours away from where I live. I love the cabins there! Thanks for the info.

I use my neighbor's hot tub. No problems here. Unless you count being too tired to drive afterwards

I wish I had a hot tub. My hot tub is my bath tub. LOL :) Anyways I don't think a hot tub would hurt?? Not sure though. I really would never think of a hot tub flaring up IC? Chelsey

I have a hot tub & have never had any problems with it causing any symptoms. It actually takes away symptoms for me. I would make sure that the chemicals are all maintained properly. Have fun!

This is a little late and I hope all went well! It sounds like private hot tubs that are well maintained shouldn't be a problem. However, I went on a cruise in January and had a HORRIBLE time with the hot tub. I think it may be because it was super chlorinated and shocked daily. I am sure this was not the case with your cabin. But for future reference, beware of hot tubs that have a lot of traffic like the ones on our cruise ship. The ones at large hotels may cause a similar problem.

I will not go in a public hot tub. Had some awful problems with flare after one of them. If too many people use them, there are too many chemicals and who knows what else. I'm even hesitant to go into my friends hot tub. Bad memories with hot tubs, but I love my bath tub, it's only me in it.
